Shane & Lisa Facemyer
Pastor Shane & Lisa have been married for over 30 years. They have 3 grown children (Caitlin, Tony, Benjamin) and 2 grandchildren (Wolf, Belle).
They come to Candler having over 25 years of ministry experience.
Ministry Pillars
- Discipleship - I believe the most important thing we all can do is to develop people to sustain their daily walk with Jesus in a way that radically impacts their sphere’s of influence. It is one thing to be a follower of Jesus. It is completely another thing to be a Disciple. I am interested in developing strong, loving, passionate disciples of Jesus.
- Legacy - What legacy do we leave? That is a personal question, but also a church body question. Are we making decisions asking the question, “How will this impact the world when I’m gone?” What footprint am I leaving for Jesus? What footprint is the church leaving for Jesus? Beginning a task without looking at the completion of the task before we start just leads to confusion.
- Youth - Having been saved at 9 years old in a summer church youth camp, I know personally the impact of a strong youth program and am a huge believer in the next generation and look to unlock their potential for Jesus.
- Community - Jesus came to restore the relationship between us and God, so community matters. Jesus also did not do it alone. He developed a community to assist. Jesus could have done it alone, but He didn’t. I struggled for so many years trying to figure out this “Jesus thing” alone because I was taught “It’s just you and Jesus”. That, in my opinion, is wrong. Yes, my personal walk is He and I, but learning how to impact my world and the people around me, is found in community.
